One of the most fascinating performances in supernatural thriller THE REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD is that of Tony Stephano as Jeff Curtis, husband of Marcia Curtis.
A successful male model in the 1970s and 1980s, sometimes also credited as Stuart Thomas, Mr Stephano carved a haunting niche in the movie as a pivotal character who drives the narrative, and is featured at integral points in the film.
A handsome actor for whom this was his first movie, and, unfortunately, only one of three in which he has appeared to date, his was a great contribution that is memorable for its power. Despite his scenes appearing at small points throughout the movie, Mr Stephano drew a convincing portrait of a man of many sides, and facets.
He was not only a husband but also, a lover, Don Juan, philanderer, abusive, and vulnerable...his Jeff Curtis did it all.
Tony Stephano's Jeff Curtis was a bad seed, but there were glimmers of a better side that made him a compelling figure in this engrossing movie.
